As part of an ongoing investigation into a possible hit-and-run incident on Saturday, Dallas police are looking for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice, according to the Dallas Morning News.

USA TODAY Sports received a synopsis of the incident from Kristin Lowman, a spokeswoman for the Dallas Police Department. The summary states that the multi-vehicle collision happened on North Central Expressway in north Dallas at around 6:25 p.m. local time.

Authorities discovered that two drivers—one in a Lamborghini and the other in a Corvette—”were speeding in the far-left lane” before to the drivers’ loss of control, which sent the Lamborghini over the shoulder and into the center median wall. This resulted in a “chain reaction collision” with four other vehicles.

Before being selected in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft and going on to win a Super Bowl, Rice played four years of NCAA college football in Dallas with Southern Methodist University. Rice was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, which is located 32.9 miles away from Dallas.

As of 07:00 ET on Sunday, March 31, Rice has not been seen in Dallas County prison, despite the fact that it is unknown if he was operating the car or whether anybody has been injured. Additionally, it’s unclear if he gets prosecuted, according to the Dallas Morning News.

As a result, he does have ties to the city and is probably in the region since he could be spending the football offseason with his family, but he has not yet been discovered by law enforcement.

According to the police, two drivers received minor injuries treated on the spot, while two passengers from a second car were sent to a hospital for similar treatment.

Additionally, according to police, “both the investigation and the suspects’ identification are ongoing.” A police call report obtained by the Morning News names 23-year-old Rice as the alleged driver of the Corvette.

Rice was not listed in the Dallas County jail system as of Sunday at noon ET.
